April 20 saw a significant escalation in resistance activity in Gaza, particularly in areas the occupation has declared “evacuated” and “secured.” Al-Qassam Brigades conducted a series of direct strikes, while enemy sources confirmed additional losses in the north — all highlighting continued resistance presence deep inside what the Zionist army considers buffer zones.

This map highlights the confirmed April 20 operations, compiled by the team at The Palestinian Observer.
Al-Qassam Brigades:
Fighters launched a complex ambush against a Zionist force that had advanced into the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, resulting in multiple casualties.
Qassam fighters targeted a Merkava 4 tank and a D9 military bulldozer with Al-Yassin 105 missiles in the Jabal al-Surani area, setting both on fire.
Unclaimed Incident – Confirmed by Enemy Sources
1:00 PM Gaza Time
An RPG was fired at an unarmored reconnaissance vehicle in the Sifun area of Beit Hanoun, injuring three Zionist soldiers.
1:25 PM Gaza Time
A powerful IED struck a rescue convoy responding to the scene, killing one tracker and wounding two others. Enemy reports state the fighters emerged from a tunnel previously declared cleared by IDF forces — once again exposing the failure of the occupation’s buffer zone strategy.
All operations took place within evacuation zones, further undermining claims of control by the occupying army.
